This job required 4 large skylights in the roof slab to offer additional lighting into the patio below. This posed as a welcomed design challenge where large spans of 9m were required over the area. Level Up supplied 130m² of 250mm thick hollow-core slabs and designed special hanger brackets to make room for these skylights.

An in-situ beam was was cast on-site by Level Up and designed to create a joint between the cantilevered slab and skylight area to help carry the wall above. Included with this job was the installation of a precast concrete staircase, so all the materials were delivered using a large crane for installation over the existing building. Once the job was finalised, client had attained the desired affect of an incredible area with natural lighting for an extra drizzle of inspiration and relaxation time in their home.
